Art Opening
Saturday, May 8th, 2010The art opening at Little Shop Around the Corner in Greenwich, CT was a lot of fun. The owner of the shop, Laura Cunningham, did an amazing job of setting up the shop and hanging the art. There was really good traffic all night and thank you to everyone who came out to see it. It was so much fun to see my work hanging in such a beautiful space. It will remain there through May 31st.
In other news, I have a solo show coming up this September at Blueberry Music and Art House at 135 Mason Street, Greenwich, Ct. That’s 3 months away but In terms of painting that feels like about 3 minutes. I’m going to be doing a lot of painting this summer and decided to plant some inspiration.
After a long internal deliberation [which will continue to go on, I'm sure] I decided that instead of fighting the grubs, rabbits, deer, blight and whatever put all those holes in my cabbage, I will plant a flower garden instead of a vegetable garden. I’ll keep the herbs and maybe I can have a few veggies in pots on the deck.
I bought the most incredible Dalias yesterday and can’t wait to get them in the ground. I also did some planting in the front of the house and really like it. Not knowing what I was doing when it comes to landscaping, I procrastinated on that forever and then suddenly realized I could treat that like a painting. Suddenly it was not only easy but really fun. I need more flowers.
